How to keep ‘happy feet’ in summers?

After suffocating your feet in boots and pumps throughout winter, summer offers you the opportunity to flaunt your feet stylishly. Here are some of the tips which will help you keep your feet happy in the coming months:

1. Get rid of the Calluses

Make sure that you keep a pumice stone on your bathroom counter so that after you are done with your bath, you can buff away all the calluses and corns on your feet for clear, smooth skin. Apply more pressure in the tough and hard spots and use significantly lower pressure where your skin is soft.

2. Your feet needs sunscreen too

Nobody likes feet which are partially tanned from the sun. Even though feet generally don’t get massaged with sunscreen, try out this trend before stepping out in the summer months and the lady who does your pedicure would praise you for being responsible.

3. Trim the nails

It is not as obvious as you might think at first. Use nails clippers and cut your toenails across a horizontal line. Avoid cutting them too short and close to the skin or even the corners as that increases the risk of painful ingrown nails.

4. Use a moisturizer

After you have exfoliated your feet with pumice stone after a shower, the next step would be to apply foot cream in generous amounts so that the moisture gets locked in and the sun isn’t able to suck all the hydration from your feet.

5. Choose footwear wisely

Just like people, feet also have personalities of their own. Some feet get dry if left without moisturizing for a long period of time while others get sweaty and oily for no apparent reason. If you belong to the latter group, you might want to invest in shoes that allow your feet to breathe so that the sweat can evaporate in the summers.

6. Indulge feet by soaking

You can try soaking your feet to make them baby soft. Pour warm water in a tub, add a teaspoon of shea butter to it and a few drops of lavender oil. Immerse your feet completely in the water and take it out only when it starts getting cold.

We guarantee that making all these steps mandatory in your weekly foot care routine, you will be able to enjoy the softest, most beautiful feet in the whole world!
