Is it true that you get better sleep after massage

There is some evidence to suggest that you may experience better sleep after a massage. Massage therapy has been shown to promote relaxation, reduce muscle tension and pain, and reduce feelings of anxiety, all of which can contribute to a better quality of sleep.

 

A study published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine found that massage therapy improved sleep quality in patients with chronic low back pain. Another study published in the International Journal of Neuroscience found that massage therapy improved sleep quality in healthy adults.
