So Tattva talks about the whole massage experience online in a certain way. They give a walk through of the experience, how the massage would start, and then what else will follow. I expected to have a trained therapist work on me and guide me through my experience. I opted for an Indian Abhyanga massage with warm oils, 90 mins. I was led into a room that did not feel warm or cosy. It was run down, old, smelling of mold and the massage bed felt old too. Anyway I asked the therapist to atleast fix some things so that my view wouldn’t be of a stained piece of wood on the floor. I didn’t get a foot wash. The therapist, although kind, was unable to fully get me to relax as she was quite jumpy from one body part to another. And the sequence of the massage didn’t make sense. I take massages quite frequently so I know how a good massage should feel, especially in a place like Unora that promises an experience, and not just the massage. I had to ask the therapist to massage me a certain way because she didn’t know how to hold a position. She was open to it but I was confused why I had to be the one teaching her when I had gone to just recover from my body aches and muscle tensions. Anyway after the massage got over, I went to shower and the water wouldn’t go through the sink. It all got blocked within two minutes of my time there and I ended up not showering properly. I didn’t have a chance to even take a comforting bath. There was warm water though. I did give them the feedback because for me it’s important they know first hand. For such a high price, I would expect excellence and attention to details, and in this case, I didn’t even have the basic. I write this in the hope that spas in india will take better care of their interiors, their customer experiences and will actually provide services that they speak of in their websites. Please be genuine and do not just sell for the sake of it.

I availed foot massage here. I was disappointed. The price was fairly high but the masseuse does not know the pressure points. In a foot reflexology, pressure points on the sole of a foot are required to be massaged or pressurised. The lady only kept massaging my calf muscles.

I had a great massage but there were several parts of the experience that were off. I was made to wait 20 minutes for a previously booked appointment because the staff were “eating lunch.” I had requested the use of the steam room before starting my massage. However once my massage was finished I was informed that the room was being used and that I would have to wait another 10-15 minutes. The location of the steam room is less than ideal as one has to leave the massage room in a robe, cross the hallway, and enter another room. While returning from a sizzling 10 min steam treatment, this isn’t ideal!! Not only that, the “hot water” I was promised in the shower ran tepid-cool at best. If this establishment wants to create a seamless experience for its clients it will have to pay attention to these details. Would I book it again? A solid no!

Was a wonderful experience, loved it. Masseur Alibu was really good at her work, she also adjusted the pressure accordingly for me and honestly, this is one of the best spa I’ve ever visited so far. Only suggestion would be to add a hand shower in the bathroom for convenience but other than that the staffs and the receptionist was really helpful. Would love to visit again.

My experience of the Unora Spa at the Novotel started with a phone call and an invitation to book a time slot to look at the treatments which were available. I did so. I selected the Signature Massage for Men and the next two hours were spent in fragrant and elegant surroundings whilst an expert masseuse relaxed me further. It was a great experience, the establishment was clean, the music soothing to the ear and spirit, the staff polite and gentle and I have no hesitation recommending it.
