They have 5 oils to apply, among those 2 of them are complimentary - Vishram and pranati. Pranati has a soothing smell of rose and geranium while Vishram has a balm kinda smell.

We had a terrible experience, primarily due to the receptionist, Hichule. She was outright rude and had a poor attitude from the moment I stepped in. She did not explain me the offers in website, but when I asked her about the online discount of 20%, she started becoming more rude. She sent the consent form to my partner’s phone, and when I requested a physical copy, she refused to provide one. She was instead asking him to fill, which is pointless, and in the end, there was nothing offered to me before or after the massage. She offered me water, nothing else, but it was provided in a sticky glass. Despite arriving more than 10 minutes early, I was made to wait over 12 minutes, and my session didn’t start until 8:51 PM. She failed to explain the etiquette or ask for my massage preferences. When I specifically requested a bit of head massage and steam, she grudgingly agreed but did not properly offer them as she should have. She also insisted I pay before the massage. When I stated I would pay afterward, she kept pressuring me, to the point where I had to firmly insist on proceeding with the massage first. This created a poor and hostile atmosphere for what was supposed to be a relaxing experience. The masseuse herself was fine, but her training seemed lacking, she didn’t explain the procedure, the type of oil used, or other details. It’s unfortunate because she did a great job, but her efforts were overshadowed by the rude and unprofessional receptionist. After the massage, I had to wait 10 minutes for the steam to start while standing in the bathroom without any instructions. The fresh towels provided were stained with oil, and the floor was filthy. I was asked if I wanted herbal tea but was never offered any after my shower. When I paid in cash, I was not given a bill, which is a legal requirement. Hichule made excuses, claiming I would have received a bill only if I had paid by card, which makes no sense. They made us wait a long time while someone went to fetch a bill, which ended up having the wrong name. Additionally, the clock inside the massage room was 10 minutes fast, which felt like a scam. When we requested the manager’s email to file a complaint, Hichule vaguely told us it was on the website but refused to point it out. She did not provide any contact information for complaints, which seemed even more suspicious. What should have been a relaxing experience, one we planned to repeat over the next two days, quickly turned into a horrific and stressful ordeal.

Excellent value for treatments, I had the 60 minute deep tissue massage and the vitamin facial by Amoma. After a very hectic 2 weeks of wedding shopping for my son’s forthcoming marriage I feel like a new woman as I fly back to the UK tomorrow. When I am back in Kerala, definitely book more treatments at Tattva and hopefully get the opportunity to try out Hyacinth’s restaurant, which looked amazing.

Had a very sub par experience at the Tattva spa at the Hycinth in Thiruvananthapuram. I purchased the 90 minute Tattva signature massage therapy with an added Indian style 30 min head massage for a total 2 hr experience. The massage was supposed to be an incorporation of yoga style stretches into the massage and did not have any of those components incorporated. The room was way too bright for a spa experience and absolutely no pleasing background music of any kind. I could hear the staff talking in the next room. There was no pillow or support provided for my knees during the entire massage and I actually ended up with a slight back ache. The masseuse did not seem to have any formal training in massage therapy and was largely lathering me up with the massage oil. She asked no questions either prior to or during the massage to understand where I needed particular attention or what my problem areas were. No due diligence questions on existing health conditions were asked either. As much as the signature massage was a let down , the head massage ended up being the most lack lustre portion of the whole package. There were barely any pressure points on the head that were given their due attention and it ended up being a 30 minute application of oil rather than any reasonable head massage. Overall this was a highly overpriced and hugely under-delivered experience. I would not recommend this spa for the discerning or even non-discerning client.

The therapist, Amoma, truly lives up to her name, which means 'cherish' in Mizo. Her skillful touch, especially in relieving soreness through specific pressure points, was nothing short of magical. I haven’t slept as deeply as I did during the 120-minute massage in over three months. Amoma’s massage reminded me of the comfort and warmth of my grandmother’s ( Amumma's) lap. There’s a choice of oils and I went for Praniti oil, which smelt wonderful. There’s an attached shower area, which made it convenient to freshen up before I left. My masseuse for the day, Priya was brilliant with the hands - loved the head massage and she also adjusted the pressure on the neck and shoulders to the way I wanted. The manager Manish was very welcoming and checked in afterward to see if everything was good, and to share about other Tattva spas. 5 star experience 😃 and highly recommend - the BEST way to unwind in Trivandrum!

Gifted the spa for guests using the online platform. However Tattva Spa did not honour the time slots that were assigned online. Hence forcing us to change our schedules and had to get it postponed to the next day. Since the guests had limited time in trivandrum, rescheduling the agendas became an issue and turned out to be a sour experience. The guests were told that the online slots are generally not considered. The massage was fairly good though. But not worth the hassle of going again.

I have been in incredible pain bc of terrible Kuwait Airlines flight to kochi. My back at times feels like I broke something.. I went to Tattva for a Swedish massage hoping to relax some tight muscles... It did not work out as I plan... I was in so much discomfort prior to arrival, that I could not lie down face up. The therapist, recognizing how much pain I was in, provided another type of oil for it... And it helped! She also positioned me in different ways to reduce the pressure.... It was fantastic! I didn't sleep for 48 hrs bc of the pain... Once I got back to my hotel room I passed out and slept... Amazing! Thank you very much!!

My mother and I did anti aging facial and the service was so poor. They continuously used tissues on the face and rubbed which left my face burning after washing my face when I got home. After facial they sis leg massage which was the only positive experience. We also got 20% discount when asked.
