How Tattva Wellness Spa Celebrated World Wellness Weekend 2025

From September 19th to 21st, the world came together to pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves and with others. In over 150 countries, people engaged in small acts of self-care under the shared vision of promoting physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. But for us at Tattva, this year’s celebration wasn’t just about spa rooms and therapies. It was about stepping beyond our doors and reaching those who need care the most—our elders.

What is World Wellness Weekend?

Started with a vision to make wellness accessible and enjoyable for all, World Wellness Weekend (WWW) is a global movement that encourages people to incorporate simple, joyful wellness activities into their daily lives. It’s celebrated every third weekend of September, aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal #3: “Good Health and Well-being for All.”

The initiative revolves around five pillars of wellness:

  • Sleep & Creativity
  • Nutrition & Immunity
  • Movement & Vitality
  • Mindfulness & Serenity
  • Purpose & Solidarity

These aren’t just ideas. They’re reminders that wellness isn’t only about gym memberships or clean eating, it’s about small, daily steps that bring more calm and clarity into our lives. This year, Tattva Wellness Spa embraced the pillar of Mindfulness & Serenity, because in a world full of noise, stillness is sacred.

Why Mindfulness & Serenity Matter

The modern lifestyle leaves little room for stillness. Constant screens, rushing routines, and packed schedules often lead to:

When we began planning our WWW (World Wellness Weekend) initiative, one question led us to our purpose:

“Who needs healing touch the most, but rarely receives it?”

The answer was clear: Senior Citizens living away from their families in old age homes.

Many elderly people live with daily aches such as stiff knees, sore backs, and tired feet. But the question arises, how many of them actually receive the kind of touch therapy that could soothe these long-held tensions? The answer is—few!

More than physical pain, what truly causes ache is the absence of connection, human warmth, and care. This realization sparked our mission to bring spa care to the elderly, not just as a luxury, but as a gesture of respect and gratitude.

Taking Wellness to Elder Care Homes: Nemacare & Akshayvat Eldercare

On September 19th, we set up Tattva Spa kiosks at two eldercare homes — Nemacare and Akshayvat Eldercare, located in the NCR, Gurugram.

The atmosphere was gentle, warm, and filled with quiet anticipation. Our intention was simple — to give them the care and joy they had never felt before. We set up spa kiosks designed specifically for the comfort of the elderly, offering short and soothing massage therapies that ease both body and mind. These included:
